I saw some quite sharp gucci captoes and prada laceups at saks the other day, with what felt and appeared to be some high quality leather. Any info out there about who makes the shoes (if they don't in house), construction quality, etc.the gucci's were 5, so do-able, but not if they aren't going to hold up at least as well as my AE's. Gucci products are manufactured in Prato, a town just outside of Florence, and tend to be created using leather, canvas, suede, wool, cashmere, and other deluxe fabrics. On the other hand, Prada products are manufactured either in China or Italy, a long-standing point of contention for customers. Depending on the style of the shoe, i find Gucci sizing all over the place. My Guccis range from 36.5 to 38. i find Prada more consistently TTS than Gucci. •••
Gucci and Prada shoes are garbage, terrible looking, terrible functionality and way overpriced for what they are. They are mostly bulky and look like blocks on your feet. Ferragamo's are middle of the road as far as luxury shoes. Ferragamo by far has the best of the three.
